Это было так близко

Вчера стояв в очереди за билетами на футбол за пределами стадиона, я услышал мелодию, которая в детстве у меня всегда вызывала какой-то неизмеримый внутренний трепет.

Мелодия звучала на расстоянии вытянутой руки, и у меня внутри опять полыхнуло. Несмотря на то что сейчас меня футбол интересует немного, но эмоции детсва дают о себе знать. Если бы очень хотелось, я бы эту мелодию мог послушать на многотысячном стадионе, а не в очереди на 8-тысячник. Вчера Вентспилс принимал Цюрих, а мелодия которая звучала была – конечно гимном Лиги Европейских Чемпионов.

На стадион я не попал, почти выстояв бесконечную очередь, узнал что билеты стоят 7Лс и поехал домой. А Вентспилсу осталось послушать мелодию лишь раз в этом году, матч закончился 0:3.

Calm me , say it is a bad joke or 1-april syndrome !!!

What is CHL ? It is Continental Hockey League, new Russian’s alternative project to NHL [National Hockey League].

CHL is looking for big competition with NHL. Sounds great we will have alternative, especially when hockey club from Latvia is invited. Mystical 2-days old Dinamo Riga is invited, big hockey can return to Latvia [great!].

Few years ago NHL destroyed old traditional division system and sticked to geographical division formation. Idea was heavily criticized, some traditional derbies gone away, but economical part of idea was successful. Clubs are saving money for long flights, players are saving energy. Great, but not with CHL.

Let’s introduce distance between Dinamo Riga and groups members,

“Lokomotiv” (Jaroslavl), 948 km

“Lada” (Togliatti), 1882 km

“Avangard” (Omsk), 3471 km

“Sibirj” (Novosibirsk), 4164 km

!!! “Amur” (Khabarovsk), 7027 km

How about the hockey play after 15 hour flight ? Are you kidding ?
NHL commercial divisions sorting is looking so good. That a shame, geographical idea was not taken into consideration !

Latvia – Croatia 85:77

Who may predict such result a day before ? I think nobody.

Of course we can talk about the luck for Latvia team and about unused chances by Croatia players. That’s just the fact – Latvia won first important match, there were before 9 consecutive losts at European Championships before. Heh, the most interesting this that was surprise even for me, when I first heard about that fact. Latvia was winner of the European 1935 championship, next cup team defeated at the final. After this Latvia was a part of USSR, of course it was not possible to participate as separate team, as far as I remember, probably I’m wrong, there were not any big success for Latvian basktetball since there.

This win also is not a success, it is first step in success. Before the championship all the predictions were abou the win with Portugal, but Croatia is something different. It is something like Soumi at ice-hockey and eee Spain at football. Great. The game was not one player match, every player gave his best to get the victory, as many were talking about A. Biedrins domination. He played awesome, but without any other member of the team (Helmanis, Vitols, Šķēle, Jahovičš, Blūms, Valters, Veselovs, Janičenoks, Grags) the victory was impossible, as sometime command basketball from them was something.

First step, second step is to win Portugal and qualify from the second place (win on Spain looks like miracle), then one win at second stage should promote to play-off, go figure. For now it looks just as fantastic, but let’s wait and enyoj the running championship.
